Special Notice

Whilst we have closed our doors for the time being, we are still able to offer a free home delivery service UK wide. This works through our wholesalers, who send your books directly to your door, via Royal Mail. We now have a fully functioning online shop that accepts card payments and PayPal too, and we're in the process of sourcing a virtual terminal that will enable us to take payments over the phone. We are currently not able to provide this service, though as soon as we are able to, we will make it known on our website. We're also more than happy to take orders over the phone or by email, and recommend you books too! It's why we're here! We've recently set up an online Recommendation form, where we'll send you a list of books that we think you might like, and we'll take 10% off if you'd like to purchase them through us too.

As a new business, this is a very daunting period for us to be entering. There are many adjustments we've had to make in a short space of time, and we might come across a few hiccups as we try to adapt to a different sort of service, but we will still try our hardest to ensure that our customers can get their books.

What we can tell you is that through all of this, we're committed to helping people. We understand that for some, it is very difficult to be at home alone, that there are many who may not be able to see their loved ones for quite some time. We are just as uncertain as you, and where we can do anything to help, we will. Please do not feel as though contacting us for a book, a recommendation or home delivery is burdensome, we want all our customers, friends and family to be well, and if that means getting you a book, we will try our hardest to find you one.

Maldon is a fantastic community, full of lots of caring people. Please be aware that there are other brilliant businesses here also offering home deliveries, and we urge you to utilise them in this period and remember that we're all in this together. If we can do anything to make things a little easier for you, we will try to do what we can.

I never thought we'd be faced with this kind of situation in the first 3 months of opening, but so far I have been overwhelmed by the response we've received from the local community, friends and book lovers far and wide. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far, I understand that this is an incredibly unpredictable time for all of us, and I truly do appreciate your help. It means the world.

For now we hope everyone is keeping well. We'll post any future updates online and on our website.

Take care and look after each other,
